Piranhas Available Chair Positions

Hello Piranha Families!

It's that time of year where we excitedly look ahead to the summer swim season. We have several volunteer chair positions available for the upcoming season. It is critical that we fill these roles in order for the upcoming swim season to run smoothly. Volunteer chairs and co-chairs automatically meet their volunteer hour commitment for the entire season, and there is lots of support to help newcomers understand the role and responsibilities. 1 - Photography Chair - 1 available - (8 POINTS)

  • In charge of scheduling team picture - July 2, 2026
  • Year-End Slide Show

2 - Spirit Co-Chair - 2 available (16 POINTS), 4 committee members (8 POINTS)

  • Swim meet spirit table
  • Piranha Pals
  • Donut Thursdays
  • Age group socials

3 - Clerk of Course Co-Chair - 2 available (16 POINTS)

  • We have our returning champion clerk, Bhavan (thank you!), but we will need support especially on Wednesdays.
  • In charge of coordinating clerk of course for all home and away meets
  • Support clerks will be available at all meets.
    • Check in on Saturdays (assuming 8am Start)
      • Home meets starts at ~6:30 with warm ups at 7am (if starting at 8am)
      • Away meets - starts at 6:45 with warm ups at ~7:20
    • Check in on Wednesdays (assuming 6pm start)
      • Home meets starts at ~4:30 with warm ups at ~5pm
      • Away meet starts at ~4:45 with warms up ~5:20
  • Coordinate with coaches after check in to fix relays for swimmers who have scratched

4 - Volunteer Coordinator Co-Chair - 1 available (16 POINTS)

  • Check to make sure all volunteer slots are filled for each meet. If they are not, send out a blast email requesting volunteers for the specific positions.
  • Print the volunteer sheet the day of the meet so parents can check in with you that they are there.
  • After the meet, enter hours into website.
  • For co-chairs, you may decide to split the meets. Each take full responsibility for certain meets.

5 - Computer Ops - Lead confirmed, 2 support available

  • 2 full time season helpers (16 points) - Full time positions work every home meet. (4 points per meet)
  • Also need 2 Timer/Recorder Table positions (worth 4 points) for home meets.

6 - Facilities Co-Chair - 2 available (16 POINTS)

  • Set-up/Clean-up for home meets (chairs, concession area, tents, swimmer areas, parking and electricity). (coaches/jr. coaches pull lane lines and swim flags)
  • Wednesday meets, set up late afternoon, Saturday meets, set up Friday night before
