Piranhas Families,

With our first meet behind us and morning practices beginning this week, please take a few minutes to review the reminders below. Some come from ODSL, some from the HOA's pool management, and some simply help our team operate safely and smoothly throughout the season.

Southern Walk Pool Rule: Please do not unlock the bathroom doors that open to the parking lot. Enter and exit the pool via the gate. Please tell your swimmers. 

Practice

• The only people allowed in ANY water are those swimmers actively participating in practice. This includes wading around the steps area, being in the baby pool, etc.
• Please avoid interacting with coaches or swimmers during practice.
• Please do not record practices
• Please sit on the north end of the pool, towards the pool house rather than directly behind the swim lanes.

Swim Meets

• Checking in on time matters.  Swimmers who miss check-in risk being removed from events.
• If your swimmer needs to scratch or you're unable to fulfill a volunteer commitment, please let the appropriate person know (e.g. coach, committee chair, volunteer coordinator, or board member).
• Relays happen at the end of meets (which may be late on Wednesdays). Please only mark your swimmers as available for relays if they will stay to participate. Relays are super fun and exciting…until your relay team can’t swim because a swimmer who was chosen for a relay left early or did not show up.
• Only swimmers actively competing should be in the water. This includes standing in the water at the steps and baby pool.

• For safety reasons, photos and videos may not be taken from behind the blocks where swimmers enter/exit the water.

• Please help us leave every pool—home or away—cleaner than we found it.
